Brian M Durkan Limited is delighted to have retained our “A” Grade Safe-T-Certification for a 4th consecutive year. This rating puts BMD in the top 10% of contractors in Ireland participating in the Safe-T-Cert scheme. The Safe-T-Cert is a certification scheme that applies solely to the construction industry. It is a scheme designed to certify the Safety Management Systems of contractors, and its aim is to improve health and safety management by setting standards and certifying those contractors whose safety management systems have been reviewed and can demonstrate that they work within the ILO guidelines for Safety Management Systems. Under the scheme contractors must also meet the basic requirements for training and competence and demonstrate that they have implemented an occupational health and safety management system which meets the requirements of the organisation, with a focus on continual improvement.
Commenting on the award Brian said “we owe this award to all those who work with us. Our team is dedicated to developing our business in a safe manner and health and safety is a priority for everyone. This award is proof that we are achieving the highest standards in this important area and we are very pleased to have received this accreditation.”
