Home Energy Savings Scheme
Brian M. Durkan & Co. Ltd is a registered contractor under the SEI’s Home Energy Saving Scheme. We are also registered with the Construction Industry Federation on the Contractors Retrofit Register, thus ensuring that the highest possible quality and standards are guaranteed at all times.

Our objective is to provide a quality, cost effective service to our customers and to ensure that the best possible value for money is achieved in the retro-fit package chosen.
The Home Energy Saving scheme provides grants to homeowners who are interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home. The scheme is open to all owners of existing houses built before 2006.
The benefits of upgrading the energy efficiency of your home include increased levels of comfort, an improved living environment, reduced energy costs, increased value of your property and a contribution towards reducing climate change.
Brian M. Durkan & Co. Ltd. provide a one-stop-shop for all Home Energy Improvements and retro-fitting requirements, from the initial assessment of the home to the completion and certification of the retro-fit works. We also provide assistance to the homeowner in submitting the grant application to SEI.
The process is undertaken in 4 easy steps:
Evaluation: our trained personnel carry out an evaluation of the home and identify areas of possible improvement. We carry out an energy assessment of the home and determine the energy rating and efficiency of the property.
Recommendations: based on the evaluation of the home, a detailed report is compiled with recommendations for practical and cost effective measures to improve the energy efficiency of the property. Each recommendation is accompanied by the associated cost and the improvement in efficiency / reduction in energy consumption. Homeowners can then decide which options best suit their needs in terms of performance and cost.
Upgrade Works: once an upgrade package is chosen, we undertake to carry out the improvement works in a timely, efficient and professional manner with the minimum of disruption and disturbance to the homeowner. All works are carried out by our trained personnel in accordance with best building practices and using the highest quality materials.
Certification: upon completion of the upgrade works, we will re-evaluate the energy rating and issue certification for the works and the new energy rating of the property. The homeowner is provided with training for the operation of any new installations to ensure the efficient running of the systems. We also provide an after sales service to the homeowner to ensure the efficient use and continued enjoyment of their upgraded home.
